Where it started
Shotgun was founded in 2008 by brothers Andrew and Brent Hill. It began as a mail-order supplement brand and soon moved online, sending a steady stream of orders to gyms, garages and home gyms right around the country. Plenty of Kiwis will remember the TV ads, too, gorilla and all.
Growing up
In 2013 Shotgun became part of The Warehouse Group, alongside Torpedo7 and No. 1 Fitness. In 2018 the brand returned to independent, New Zealand-based ownership, with a renewed focus on quality and value.
Shotgun today
The range covers what most people need to train well: protein (whey, lean, plant and our Massive mass gainer), creatine, pre-workout and beta-alanine, plus Electrolytes and Protein Water to keep you hydrated. Our flagship Shotgun Whey is made right here in New Zealand, with 22g of protein a serve, low carbs and four classic flavours, and it's rated 4.9 stars by more than 120 customers.
